The Village of Westville is asking citizens to help clean up the alleys in town. If you have put yard waste, scrap building materials or garbage in the alley, please remove these items. If your tree limbs hang over or block the alley, please trim them. These alleys may need to be used in an emergency and they need to be accessible. Thank you!!!
Building Permits: Pools, etc.
Building permits are required for pools (if the pool is capable of holding at least 3 feet of water, including blow-up pools), additions, yard barns/storage sheds, garages, enclosing porches. Please plan to acquire your permit 10 days before your construction begins. It is unlawful to construct a building or pool over an existing utility line. Permit applications can be completed and paid for on-line at villageofwestville.com (licenses & permits, construction permits) or picked up at Village Hall at 201 N. State, M-F 7am-1pm.
60 or Over? Take a Proactive Stance on your Health!
I have 2 great things to update you on:
- . We are having a nurse (RN) come to FIAS to check seniors’ weight, blood pressure and medications. This is a free, private consultation, and seniors age 60+ in southern Vermilion Co. are invited to come, ask questions and take a proactive stance on their health. The checks will then be offered the second Tuesday of every month from 10-11 am.
- We just received miscellaneous health-related donations from CVS. If you are interested, call me tomorrow (Thursday) at 267-2752 and set up a time to stop by and see what we have.
As always, thanks for supporting our ministry!
