Public Notice - Public Hearing

PUBLIC NOTICE

 

A public hearing will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 7:00pm at the Village of Westville Council Room at Village Hall located at 201 North State Street, Westville, IL.  The owner of 1834 North State Street is requesting a hearing as required to receive public comments on the possible re-zoning of 1834 North State to a classification of B-1 Community/Neighborhood Business from SR-2 Single Family Resident District.  The owner is requesting the change to accommodate his business property which this lot adjoins. The Village of Westville Board of Trustees will take action on the re-zoning request on May 12, 2015 at the 7:00pm Regular Meeting.

Clean-up Info

VILLAGE OF WESTVILLE

Clean-up project June 12-13 follows Village-Wide Rummages June 6th so people can also dispose of unsold, unwanted items!

 

Pickup for Seniors (60 & orver) & Disabled Citizens: Fri., June 12th

Drop-off for residents inside city limits: Sat., June 13th 7am-11:30am

 

For only $15 a pick up load and a separate, additional cost per appliance (call for pricing) you can rid your basement, garage, backyard, etc. of unwanted junk.  Open to seniors 60 years or older and adult disabled citizens.  Sign up dates are between May 1st and June 11th (noon).  Anything to be picked up must be in the front or alley of the residence no later than 6:30am on June 12th.   Please note on the form where the items for pickup will be located. ALL BRANCHES must be cut to 4’ lengths, BUNDLED and stacked neatly. Lumber must be stacked neatly and nails removed or pounded flat. PLACE SMALL ITEMS in boxes to make handling by our workers easier. If you have any questions about anything to be picked up, please call.

WE CAN NO LONGER TAKE TV'S or COMPUTERS!!!!!

We will not pick up or accept dirt, hazardous materials, grass clippings, household garbage, or large amounts of construction materials, no tires and no roofing materials.  When you bring your items to the garage on Saturday, please plan to unload the items yourself; our men can help but are not expected to unload your truck for you. If you have any questions about anything to be picked up, please call.
